Agamemnon Films Returns to Direct Response with

“CHARLTON HESTON PRESENTS THE BIBLE”

Agamemnon Films is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Norman Direct LLC, a direct-response distribution company, and Canella Response Television Inc, to rerelease CHARLTON HESTON PRESENTS THE BIBLE, the four-hour documentary/performance series starring Charlton Heston, on DVD, together with a companion coffee table book, and various music and spoken word CDs.

“We’re delighted with our new partnership with Chris Rebholz, Eric Nelson, Scott Opfer and the folks at Norman Direct and Canella TV,” says Agamemnon topper Fraser C. Heston, who was also Exec Producer of THE BIBLE. “I had the great pleasure of making several films with my father, but this was the one project closest to his heart. We’re very happy to be able to bring it back to a new generation of viewers, of all faiths and all ages, in newly re-mastered DVD.”

The program was originally produced by Agamemnon Films and Jones Entertainment, a multi-million dollar, multi-media production filmed entirely in the Holy Land, and originally aired on the Arts and Entertainment Network. The series was met with rave reviews: The Wall Street Journal called it “Powerful and impassioned.” And the New York Times said “An impressive accomplishment… A work steeped in spiritual passion.”.  The four DVD programs and companion products were also one of the most successful direct-response videos of its kind ever released.

Agamemnon and Norman are marketing the project through a newly revamped direct-response infomercial, featuring Fraser Heston and interviews and behind the scenes footage with his father, Charlton. The infomercial airs on cable, network and local channels across America this week, in time for the Christmas season.
